We have achieved another remarkable milestone in our sporting journey after being crowned the 2026 FUBA Primary Schools League Boys’ Champions. Our talented boys’ team emerged victorious following a thrilling and highly competitive 47–44 triumph over Hill Preparatory School in the championship final. This outstanding achievement represents the dedication, teamwork, and determination that our learners have demonstrated throughout the season and is a proud reflection of the strong sporting culture we continue to build at Sir Apollo Kaggwa Schools.

The championship victory was a memorable moment for our entire school community and a celebration of the values that guide everything we do. Throughout the competition, our boys displayed exceptional teamwork, discipline, confidence, and resilience, showing great composure during challenging moments and maintaining their focus until the final whistle. Their success is a result of consistent training, commitment from our coaches, and the collective effort of everyone who continues to support our learners in their pursuit of excellence.

Our girls’ team also delivered a remarkable performance throughout the tournament, showcasing outstanding talent, determination, and a strong competitive spirit. Despite narrowly missing out on the championship title after a closely contested 34–24 defeat to Hill Preparatory School in the final, our girls earned a well-deserved silver medal. Their journey was a true demonstration of perseverance, teamwork, and sportsmanship, reflecting the values of hard work and excellence that we continue to instil in all our learners.

Our U11 team equally made us proud with an impressive display of skill, energy, and teamwork, securing the bronze medal after a convincing 38–20 victory over Hill Preparatory School in the third-place playoff. Their achievement highlights the importance of nurturing talent from an early age and demonstrates the impact of our Talent Development Programme in providing learners with opportunities to identify, develop, and showcase their abilities in a supportive environment.

The achievements of our teams were further complemented by individual recognition, as our learners received medals and certificates of participation from the federation in appreciation of their outstanding performances during the tournament. These awards represent more than just recognition; they celebrate the dedication, discipline, countless hours of training, and sacrifices made by our learners, coaches, teachers, and the entire support team throughout the season.

Individual excellence was also celebrated, with two of our talented learners receiving Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards. Nabwami Sonia was named the U11 Girls’ MVP, while Kanadi Waleed was crowned the U13 Boys’ MVP following their exceptional performances, leadership, and valuable contributions to their respective teams. Their recognition serves as an inspiration to all our learners to continue pursuing excellence and making the most of their abilities.

At Sir Apollo Kaggwa Schools, this achievement reflects our commitment to providing holistic education that develops the academic, physical, social, creative, and leadership abilities of every learner. We believe that true education extends beyond the classroom, and our approach is built on creating a balance between academic excellence and talent development. Through our Talent Development Programme, we provide structured opportunities for learners to explore their passions, strengthen their skills, and discover their full potential.

While celebrating success on the court, we remain equally focused on academic excellence, knowing that education is the foundation upon which future achievements are built. Our learners are encouraged to pursue their talents in sports, arts, leadership, and other areas while maintaining high standards in their academic work. By nurturing both intellectual growth and individual talents, we continue to prepare well-rounded learners equipped with confidence, discipline, creativity, and the values needed to succeed in an ever-changing world.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated coaches, teachers, staff members, learners, parents, and guardians whose commitment, encouragement, and support played a vital role in the success of this campaign. Every training session, every word of encouragement, and every contribution behind the scenes helped shape this remarkable achievement and strengthened the spirit of teamwork that defines the Sir Apollo Kaggwa Schools community.

As we celebrate being crowned the 2026 FUBA Primary Schools League Champions, we are reminded that excellence is achieved through dedication, perseverance, teamwork, and a shared commitment to growth. This achievement motivates us to continue raising the bar in academics, sports, and character development as we inspire, empower, and transform the lives of our learners. Together, we look forward to achieving even greater milestones in the years ahead.
